About The Strutt Family Tree Genealogy
The Strutt Family Tree originates in Essex, England.
The first direct Ancestor of the Strutt Family was a John Strutt I; a corn miller who settled in the Springfield area of Chelmsford, Essex in around 1667. John Strutt was born in 1640-1694 and his wife Jane Barnard was born in 1646-1704; and they wed in 1664. They had two children; John Strutt II born in 1666-1736 and Thomas Strutt was born in 1668-1729.
The family worked the Springfield and Moulsham Mills and they continued until 1727; when John II retired to the small village of Terling, Essex. Historical Information Credit - Andrew Milton

I have had many people assist me in developing this Genealogy Family Tree.
There were 3 special people have made major contributions to the Family Tree; First was my Great-Aunt Jessie Emma Strutt-Thompson 1901-1998; who inspired me to start this family tree.
Also Gary Strutt my second cousin; and Christine Jones from Colchester, Essex, England; who opened the book on the early Strutt Family ancestors of this Tree.
I have had many genealogy contacts at Rootsweb and Genes Reunited in England who have contributed also to expand the family tree; and the senior members of our families have contributed information that was invaluable.
The Main Family Surnames that started this family tree are;
Strutt/Gates/Connolly/Baker
Leask/Ford/Keeling/Griffiths
Families
and the tree expands out from there.
I hope you enjoy searching the Family Tree and sign my Guest Book.
If you have any family information that links to the family tree or any information that needs to be edited;(further information).
I would appreciate in hearing from you!
